Securing your awning has never been easier, than with an Outback Tracks Awning Anchor Kit! The Awning Anchor kit allows you to securely anchor your awning leg vertically when detached from the side of your Motorhome
Wind out the awning and position the leg vertically, then use the Awning Anchor Plate over the foot of the leg and secure into the ground with the Ground Dog screw in peg. To add extra security, use the High Viz Tie Downs with Safety Spring and secure this into the ground with the Ground Dog Screw in Peg.
The advantages of positioning your awning leg vertically, is that it gives you clear walkway access, with awesome visibility of your surrounding area. Dropping the awning leg to a vertical position means that you don’t have to duck under diagonal awning legs every time you walk down the side of your motorhome!

Ground Dog Screw in Peg with Hook Collar (x4)
The Hook Collar is used with a Ground Dog screw in peg, when using the high viz straps and safety spring as well as holding down the anchor plates. The hook collar is an adjustable locking nut that can be varied to suit the depth of the ground. This means if you can only get half the peg into the ground, simply winding down the
locking nut will make it just as effective, and means you don’t have to have the peg all the way in.
Awning Anchor Plate (x2)
Once the leg has been detached & positioned, simply place the Anchor Plate over the foot of the awning leg & drill in the Ground Dog screw in peg.
Safety Spring (x2)
Safety Springs are made from a strong and durable rubber compound which are designed to give firmer anchorage when extra ‘give’ is required from sudden gusts. It is a safe alternative to the dangerous common sharp metal spring.
Tie-down straps with retaining clips (x2)
Bright yellow or orange high visibility polyester straps, designed to be easily attached to the awning and hook collar. They have loops on each end and an adjustable metal cam buckle. The retaining clips are used to hold down the loose end of the tie down strap.
19mm Socket and Drill Adaptor (x1)
The Ground Dog screw in pegs have a 19mm hex head, which makes screwing in the pegs easy and fast! The 19mm head fits both the Ground Dog screw in pegs, and the stabilizer legs on caravans – this means you only need to carry one size drill socket!
Canvas Bag (x1)
